The thing to remember is that you have to set the style, then type the text you want in that style, then close the style.
You will know which styles are in use by seeing the asterisk on their buttons after you push them.
For example, to do this: la de da
You need to:
1. type "la"
2. click the bold "B" button to start Bold
3. type "de"
4. click the bold button again to end Bold
5. type "da"
The same goes with any of the settings and styles except that with fonts, sizes and colors, you have to use the "close all tags" to end the style. Make sense?

JUST REMEMBER TO CLICK THE "CLOSE ALL TAGS" AT THE END OF YOUR SENTENCE.
