Jack,

Is there a way members can post an image (like a photo) directly to a post without bothering you or Lisa? Thanks.

Hi Martha,

The way we do it is post our photo to a private web site then tranfer it over to here.

Ken can send you the details if you would like.

Ann, thank you. I would like to know the details, if Ken would be so kind as to send them.

Martha,

It is fairly easy to add a picture to your posts.

Before you can post on this website, you have to have a personal website. Most internet email providers (COX, ATT, AOL, etc.) provide you with a free personal webpage for posting pictures and other information. You will need to check your internet provider's webpage to determine how to set one up.

Post a picture on this website as follows:

[*]Take the picture and using your picture editor compress the picture to less than a 100 k bytes.
[*]Post the picture to your personal webpage or to a webpage you have access to.
[*]The webpage will list an 'http://' name for the picture - write the name down or copy it using your copy function.

[*]On the add a note screen on the message board, click on the 'IMAGE' icon (below the message screen)
[*]Write in or paste on the 'http://' name of your picture in the information box that appears when you click on image. Example "http://members.cox.net/ann-clark/Edward%20Bridge%20Ct%20Rm%20Wk2.jpg" (Edward's Week 2) [list]The 'http://' name appears in the message box. You can write a message to go with the picture. The picture will not appear until you post the message.
    Hope this helps,
    Ken

PS - If you have any questions, please contact me.

If this does not work, Jack is working on a program for this site that will allow you to upload a picture directly to the site.

Ken, thank you very much for the detailed instructions. Very kind of you to do this for me. [Wink] I'll give it a try.
