Hi Don and Margaret. Welcome aboard. I like the corday solids also. I have 3 of them and my favorite is the ace propeller which I just got recently. They also have a nice scent when you get tired of sniffing beautiful, pleasures, or white linen (which doesn't happen often as I like all of them). [Smile]

Hi Pat ,

I was going to ask if you got your prop yet. How do you like it??? It is really a very special Corday.

I love my propeller solid. It's really unique. It's like a vinaigrette. It has openings beneath the prop for the scent to escape. Really cool. I have to think of a way to display it now. I'm running out of room in my curio cabinet and china cabinet.

There are a lot of collectors who do appreciate the quality and design of older Max Factors and Cordays. Several EL collectors have said they too have more "others" than ELs. I have often wished for a list of all solids sold by these two companys. Anyone have a suggestion as to how to obtain one?

Michaela:
How wonderful of you to do the list for me! I do appreciate it more than words can express. Makes me eager to start looking for some of those I don't have. You listed many I had never heard of and hope I'll be lucky enough to find some of them.
Thank You! Thank You!
Best Regards,
Phyllis

Hi Phyllis!
You are wellcome [Wink] .It makes me happy if I can help someone. I know how hard it is sometimes to get some informations.Maybe you know that I have a
big database with lots of pictures and descriptions wich I picked up from different websites and of course ebay. Its easy for me to look at and make a list [Big Grin] . From monday I'm again in Austria for two weeks and not able to answer because there is only an internet cafe wich I will use sometimes. But when I'm back I can answer more questions if you have some [Cool]

Best wishes !
Michaela

My thanks, too, Michaela for the time and effort you put into the list. I have just one Corday, but my interest is growing. [Smile]

Hi Martha,

Do you have any idea where we can view these! I would really like to know if there are pictures of the items in book form or elsewhere?

Thanks,

[Smile]

Jacqueline,
You can see pictures of the Max Factor and Cordays in Roselyns' Vintage and Contemporary Purse Accessories book. We will also post some picures of a few of our favorite ones in our members gallery if anyone wants a look at them.

Thanks DEM! Have just had a quick overlook on the site and look forward to getting stuck in again, SOON.

Am looking at lots of solids of various makes and once I see the pix of the Corday solids, it will help a great deal. I do have the three books of Roselyn Gerson, so, as we are going to have freezing weather here soon, it might be a good idea to spend a little time browsing through!

Hope you are enjoying your week-end.....
