C'mon others - I need a twist in this!!
Big Grizzly Bob's heart is a thumping
His palms are sweaty and his pulse is pumping
Can Bob pop the question, that's what we'll have to see
And just what is Lola's reply gonna be?

The loudspeaker blasted out..... 'We apologise for the inconvenience. Miss Yvette has been taken to hospital for X-rays. We are sure it's nothin serious and as you all know, the show must go on!'
'Well that was something unexpected!' Big Bob sighed later as they left the theatre. 'It sure was!' Lola smiled, fluttering her eyelashes in reply, deep down relieved that Yvette was well and truly out of the picture. 'Where are we going now?' Lola asked. 'Well honey, just stick with me! I wanna take you somewhere real romantic. But the way things seem to be panning out......am never sure what's gonna pop up!'
Lola smiled. She wanted to thank GiGi, but this was not the time and the place to do so! She'd catch up with her later! Meanwhile Uncle Bob had plans....Big plans, and she was busting to know what ?

They walked on board and it felt as if you were truly on a riverboat, "Oh it's so romantic, Bob!" squealed Lola as they sat in the moonlight with the sound of small waves lapping against the boat . . .
She looked out over the edge and saw a huge marlin peep out of the water and wink at her. She blinked and looked again, but it had gone.
Lola turned back to see Bob of his feet and beckoning her towards the dance floor. A slow song had just started . . . . (Mimi might choose one and start singing it for us now . . . . )

Magically, a "Coach" appeared to take them to Circus Circus where they found themselves in the center of a Circus Tent as the "Jester" starting playing a beautiful melody on the "Golden Piano".........
Lola was getting dizzy as she drank too much bubbly "Champagne" so Bob held onto Lola with his strong fuzzy arms....
All of a sudden a drunk Lola noticed a Frog hopping around the tent, and she wondered if that was her "Prince Charming"...... should she kiss the frog and find out?

Great to have you joining in! Wouldn't it be fantastic if we could see the appropriate 'small solid' by it's respective name!
Once again, thanks for taking the trouble Denise, and welcome on board!

'Well, waddaya know!''Big Bob exclaimed out loud, ' I do believe she's fainted! Now aint that somethin!''
Posted 28 January 2004 - 05:33 PM
"Yech!" Bob said - he was horrified and chased the Frog down the aisle. Meanwhile, it was the very thing that Lola needed to bring her back to consciousness.
Lola's eyes suddenly fluttered open and she wondered what she was doing on the ground with all these blurry faces peering at her . . . .
She put out her hand to be helped up. It was a Rodeo Cowboy who did the honours. Lola fell into his arms immediately and thought of him as her saviour. . . . she was smitten!!

After Lola applied more Lipstick and sprayed on Beautiful Perfume, she went searching for Bob....... but he could not be found! Where did Bob go?
Posted 28 January 2004 - 07:40 PM
WELL THIS WAS TYPICAL OF ' DEM'! LOLA TUTTED TO HERSELF AS SHE APPLIED A LITTLE MORE BLUSHER TO HER CHEEKS! (DEM you can blame Martha for that) HOW COULD SHE HAVE BEEN THINKING ABOUT THE COWBOY WHEN HIS COWGIRL WAS ON THE SCENE. AND WHAT ABOUT BIG BOB?
'WAKE UP GIRL' SHE SCOLDED.. 'WHAT ON EARTH HAVE YOU BEEN DREAMING ABOUT?' 'MUST HAVE BEEN THE FAINTING FIT!' THEN SUDDENLY SHE HAD A THOUGHT! 'WHY DID I FAINT??????!
TIGHTENING UP HER BUSTIER, AND PULLING HERSELF TOGETHER, SHE CONTINUED HER SEARCH FOR BIG BOB! HE WAS HER PRINCE CHARMING. LET THE COWBOY AND COWGIRL RIDE OFF INTO THE SUNSET! YAHOO!!...... THERE WERE CASINOS OUT THERE, AND BIG BUCKS TO SPEND.............AND OF COURSE.........BIG BOB WAS THERE TOO WAITING FOR HER TO REGAIN HER COMPOSURE AND TO JOIN HIM AT THE 'SLOT MACHINE!' WITH HIS 'LUCKY HAND' ! WHO COULD SAY WHAT THE NIGHT WOULD BRING!
LOLA SUDDENLY STOPPED IN HER TRACKS! 'OH NO!' SHE GROANED OUT LOUD.
UP DOWN, UP DOWN YES! IT WAS YVETTE! AND WHAT WAS SHE DOING CLINGING ON TO BIG BOB'S ARM! LOLA PULLED HER 'BUSTIER' EVEN TIGHTER.........THIS WAS NOT ON THE CARDS!

"Yep, she's the one for me," thought Bob as he pulled her into a tight embrace. "Let's go pick some numbers on the Roulette Wheel, darlin'" drawled Bob into her ear as he shrugged Yvette off with one paw.
Lola was just thrilled. Bob was SUCH a gentleman and a real catch for her. She clasped at her Lucky Golden Rabbit in her handbag and hoped for good fortunes!
