We are a little surprised there is no chatter here on the board about the Panda bear. Ebay # 2204872009.

We have only seen this bear one other time on Ebay years ago. Brigitte now has it in her collection.

There were production problems with the toes and fingers breaking when taking it out of the mold so very few made it to retail sales.

It will be interesting to watch this auction. [Big Grin]

Hi Ann,

I have been quietly watching this piece. I did not know the background on it, so I'm very glad for your information. I did know that it must be a rarity. It would seem that this piece would be more valuable than the Princess...but of course, novice that I am, I wouldn't know. [Eek!]

I will eagerly watch the outcome. I would love to hear more about it!!

Have been watching it too! Will look for one tomorrow whilst hunting [Wink]

Found some oldies last week-end, so keeping fingers and toes crossed!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously though, wonder what this one will reach.
Very interesting...

Yes it is harder to find then the Imperial Princess. I think the last one on ebay went for around $2800.
Now not to make all of you feel bad but about 2 years ago there was one, and I am not joking, that sold for $100 as a buy now item. No I did not get it. [Cry]

Wow $100! That was one lucky bidder. [Wink]

I saw this solid on day one. I can't afford the Imperial Princess or MIB Slot Machine much less this panda. I'm not holding my breath. [Embarrassed] [New Laugh] But, I'm watching it just to see what the outcome will be. [Roll Eyes]

Hello everyone, this is my first posting, however I am very much interested in this auctionís outcome. The reason is I place my bid $800 and I retracted it because when I studied the label on it base closely I realized that it is no perfume identification on it and I know that all Estee Lauder ivory series had fragrance identification on it labels. I would appreciate you comments. Thanks.

Hi everyone,

sorry Ann & Ken but it wasn't me how won the Panda sold on eBay. Neither the one for $ 100.00 nor the one for more than $ 2500.00.

Galina, the label IS marked CINNABAR SOLID PERFUME.

Thanks Brigitte,
now, I able to see it. I guess I need a new pare of glasses. I was positive that the label was marked Estee Lauder Solid Perfume. But then I realized that it could be Cinnabar. It is hart to see it under numerical stamp. I ask seller the same question but she did not respond yet, but I feel sorry I upset her by retracting my bid; anyway I have to correct it. Thanks Brigitte again for your help.

Sorry Brigitte, I thought you got the one that sold back in 1998 on ebay.
I just remember we were all in Atlanta when it was on and you were excited about getting it.

But with age goes confusion and I am sorry if I mis-spoke.

We were all in Atlanta, weren't we?? [Big Grin] [Big Grin]

I do remember the first Panda that went for $100. I was going to bid, but since I had never seen it before and it wasn't in Roselyn's book, I thought it was a fake, so I just passed on it and felt sorry for the high bidder. Guess I can dry my tears now... [Frown]

I don't believe her E.L. Solid book was out yet, so I was probably looking in the other two. No Panda there. At least, not that one.

So, basically, it's Roselyn's fault I didn't get it. [New Laugh]
