Hi Lisa,
I hope you are feeling better.
No fun being "undertheweather" [Cry] whatever that means. Ah, the english language is great!
Take care. I'm glad your solids are coming to take your mind off your misery [Silly]
Bye, KK [Big Grin]

Hi Lisa:

Hope you feel a little better today. Am sorry you weren't all that thrilled with the Roller Coaster, but someone earlier put it something like this: She's only going to buy the solids that mean something to her, instead of going out and buying them ALL just to have them. [Eek!]

To me, the Roller Coaster brings back memories of amusement parks with my kids...Hershey Park, Great Adventure, and best of all...Disney World. So, in that respect, the Roller Coaster means very much to me, but maybe not to someone else who has no fond memories of it. (Such as having a 5 year old throw up on your white sneakers as soon as you get off the roller coaster! [New Laugh] [New Laugh] )

I do believe the solid prices are climbing terribly fast and at the rate they're going, we'll be paying $400 to $800 each in a few years. [Frown] It's really getting quite close to "quitting time." I do hope Estee Lauder people look at this board. [Razz]

Take care...be well... [Smile]

I received my showgirl perfume solid yesterday and have to say that I too am not impressed with it. [Frown] I plan to keep it as I'd like to collect all the Vegas exclusives, but I really had high hopes for the showgirl.

I hate to disagree with everyone, but I really love the Showgirl. She completes the Las Vegas theme so beautifully, without being overdone. I think Ann & Ken's pictures attest to that. [Wink]

One picture is worth a thousand words, so I'll just be quiet now and go away. [Silly]

You all have a beautiful day! [Smile]

Las Vegas Showgirl comes to Australia. I have been watching everyone's comments with much interest as she arrives in Melbourne end of October - together with the Shimmering Oasis - the first time we have EVER had any of the Las Vegas solids - but they don't come cheaply. She will be $AUD800 (approx $US550) & the Oasis $AUD500 ($US350). I do hope she is worth it.

wow, the prices in Australia are almost double of that is States. Are there a lot of collectors in Australia? Are they selling in Melbourn becase there is a Casino there? Do they sell in Sdyney?
I am puzzled why so many people are dissapointed with the Showgirl only after receiving it. Does she look different from Ken & Ann's Pix? Or are we expecting too much from her?

I think the main problem with the showgirl (from what everyone is saying) is that she lacks colour. This is especially noticeable if you look at her comparison that Ann & Ken posted with the 3 earlier solids put out a few years ago, there is an obvious lack of attention for the price paid.

In terms of solids in Australia, yes they are sold in Sydney, and the reason that they are so costly is mainly because of the taxes we have to pay to import goods from O/S, as well as taking the exchange rate into consideration. [Confused]

However, I have noticed that some of the solids (such as the Rowboat and Jack-in-the-box) are actually sold cheaper here - like half the price of what it was in the US at the time of release. Work that out!
