Hey Martha C.,
Open the door to the curio cabinet. Let lots of natural light in the room~pull open the shades, curtains, drapes, etc. so you have plenty of natural light. Don't use the flash! And stay out of the reflection of the mirror and glass. Just move to the side and look through the eye piece to make sure you're not in the picture.
Try different angles until you find your best shot.
Can't wait to see your display.
Bye,KK [Big Grin]

Our glass cases open from the side and thats why we have to take them out to photograph them.

KK's Kleenex works well also. We tried it with toilet paper but it doesn't work as well as Kleenex.

Ann, I thought one of the members on this sight who was an artist would recognize the print. Yes, it is a Louis Icart print entitled "Peacock." Lisa, just love your photo! Please post more using that beautiful camera.

Martha, Lisa and Jeanette,
Thanks for sharing all of your wonderful photos with us. They each bring something different to the mix. I love Jeanette's Teddy Bears and Gariffe. They are pieces I would like to add to my collection. Lisa your tea/cafe set reminds me of when I was a liitle girl. I had a tea set that came with a little shadow box/cabinet to disaplay all the pieces. And Martha I really liked your peacock and fan photo very different and very nice!

The colors came out nice and the composition was great. I wish I had a digital camera! Something I have to work on. You are all having so much fun taking pictures.

Take care and keep on snaping photos.

Barb:

Kodak makes a nice little disposable camera that is for digital photography. They develop your "film" onto a compact disk so you can slip it into your pc. Have never used one, but it sounds like a good practice item.

If for no other reason, I think it's good to have photo's of every solid, with the price (retail) written on the back, for insurance purposes. You can use a 35mm for this job, but definitely catalog them.

Good luck! [Wink]

Michele,
There have been several TV advertisements recently for Kodaks disposibal digital camera. I think I may try it out over the weekend. Thanks for the suggestion.
