I finally found enough courage to share my first pics of a few solids from my collection with Lisa for posting. [Smile] And I took KK's advice and downloaded the 30 day trial of photocleaner from photocleaner.com and tried to sharpen the picture with the giraffe.

It sure was fun trying to come up with ideas for a background/setting. And I have to admit, it was my husband who did most of the work.

Enjoy! Jeanette

Hi Jeanette,
Your photos are beautiful! Love the giraffe in the jungle theme and the Harrods' bears. They are all so adorable.
You did a great job! I want to see more of your collection, please.
OK, Mimi, I'm waitin' for your photo [Big Grin]

Thanks, Lisa & KK. [Big Grin] The picture of the giraffe was taken with them sitting in my orchid plant.

And KK, the photos you took are fantastic! You have such a nice collection of solids.

Appreciate all of the inspiration and encouragement I've received from everyone.

OK Mimi, it's your turn!

Hi Jeanette,

Love the photos!!! The bears are so cute and the mamma giraffe looking at her baby you caught perfectly. What a wonderful expression on her face.

I don't know about the rest of you but doing close ups of these solids are showing things I either never noticed or could not see.

Keep up the good work and get busy shooting more.

Hi KK,

Wonderful , wonderful.
You know my favorite has to be the horse and rider.

Looks exactly like a horse we use to own.

Thank you ALL for your comments on the photos. I'm glad you enjoy them.

Guess you know by now I love taking photos on everything. [New Laugh]

Ann, you are so right about seeing all kinds of reflections in the gold with the close ups. Like your face and camera [Eek!] or the aqua dress you have on [Mad] or plenty of you that you don't want on the solids. [Frown] Make sure to wear something~neutral [New Laugh]

Bye,KK

Impressed by everyone's efforts. And jealous too of not having some that other's have! (in the nicest possible way). Congrats to everyone who have shared their pics on this site . . . don't know where you find the time to do it!

Thanks again, everyone! You all are so kind. I hope to see pics from all of you.

And I'd really like to see how everyone displays their solids in cabinets, shelves, etc. I am always looking for interesting ways to display solids in my home and think it would be neat if we all shared pics that depict how we showcase them. How about it?

Thanks, Jeanette, KK and Brenda for the beautiful photos ... you're giving me some great ideas!

Jeanette, my solids are displayed in a lighted curio cabinet (with glass and mirrors), but trying to photograph them so far has been an impossibility because of the glare. Does anyone have any suggestions?
