Hi Ken & Ann,

Your collection is lovely. Love the boxes, solids, and pictures together. Your displays are so artistic. Thanks for sharing.

Ann & Ken ... photos are simply stunning [Eek!] . The only Strongwater solid I hadn't bought was the Prince Charming ... but no more ... Your photos really capture the beauty of the piece.

Did anyone see on TV that this year at the Oscars they were giving the presenters in their gift packages Jay Strongwater mirror compacts?

Last year they recieved $15,000 worth of EL and other stuff. This year they are getting $20,000.

Does anyone know if they got a EL solid last year or only make-up kind of stuff. EL went to some of the homes and did makeovers.
Gee, maybe that is why we pay so much for solids. Gotta help the rich and famous look good. [Razz]

These solids are really beautiful!

Is it possible to buy these and if so, how much and where from?

Beautiful!

So pleased to have you back!

Hi Jacky,

The acorn, books, crown, dragonfly and frog EL perfume solids were sold at Sak's and they may still have some since EL produced more after the first ones sold out.

The rest of the Jay Strongwater things( non- solid boxes, clocks and frames) in the photos are from Neiman Marcus but you can find them on line or at fine jewelry shops.
You can go to www.neimanmarcus.com and put strongwater in the search and see what Neimans has available on line. Also do a search on ebay to see more.

As you can see from the photos, its fun to mix the solids with the rest of Jay Strongwater stuff. And there are more to come. [Big Grin] [Big Grin]

Hi All,

I LOVE Jay Strongwater!! His work is just magnificent!! I have all of his EL pieces except one (the frame and books,I think it is called Romantic). I also have the Salamander Compacts, both turquoise and amethyst. The compacts I got on E-Bay and I must tell you I have been so impressed with the seller and the service I received. Would highly recommend to all of you!

Ann and Ken, your photos of his work are so wonderful. Thanks for the beauty that you bestow on us to brighten these days.....

Best to all of you...

Mimi

Hi Maggie,

Thanks for the link. [Big Grin]

Did you notice that #7045-453 looks alot like the crown solid?

We have the square mini clock also . Don't know why we didn't put it on. Will look for the photo and see if it can be added.

We just love his stuff. [Big Grin] [Big Grin]

Hi Ann and Ken
Gee you are in such trouble now with my Kevin as I am getting very hooked, and these are even more expensive than the Solids [Eek!]
I have told Kevin you are fragile so he is going to let you fully recover before he comes out to get ya! [New Laugh] [New Laugh]
The clocks are just stunning and I am expecting my new display cabinet on Monday so will need a few extra bits to fill it up! [Big Grin]
Enjoy your weekend. [Cool]
