I bought a Palm Beach Treasures pail. It is green with gold flowers. The one in the solid database is blue with a gold stripe. The seller I bought mine from said he would be getting a pink one soon. How many colors did this beach pail come in?

Normally the solids come in one color and one color only. On occasion, they are released with 2 different solid perfumes; i.e., the Butterfly. One was released with White Linen in 1993. Another was released with Beautiful. Same Butterfly (blue/green.)

That said, there was another Butterfly almost identical to the 93 one...released in 1996. Same shape/body, but the color was sort of orange. Pleasures fragrance.

Perhaps there are other members with more info on the Sand Pail...I'm at a loss here. Could you possibly pm me with the Sellers User ID? Or, if allowed, post it here. (Check with Jack and/or Lisa first.)

And if you're purchasing older solids, please get yourself a copy of Roselyn Gerson's book...it's like a little Solid Bible.

Hi smile.gif

I saw the green pail on ebay and thought it was odd being green, and there's also a pink one blink.gif I would like the pink one though!!

I think the person to ask would be Bridgette.

I'm in Italy right now dry.gif .

sorry, I don't know much about this item, only that I too saw the green and also the pink one on eBay and of course bought them both. If I remember well the seller of the green one wrote something about a special event that took place somewhere in Florida and was to raise money for the pink ribbon. She told that the solids were done for this event and given as a gift to people attending. If I understood well the 2 powder compacts below also were issued for this event in 2006 and 2007.

I got this one without any boxes.

PALM TREE COMPACT 2007:

I got this one with it's gold box but no outer white cardboard box. The white box on the pic is only in case I'd get it one day and could easily add it to the pic.

Hope this helps and in case any one of you Florida girls should know more about these special events please let me know.

Thanks for the info. Now I feel like I got a special one rather than a fake. Thanks.

Brigitte - If it's not too much trouble and when you have the time, could you please put pix of your new sand/beach pails up on your site. Also, post the web URL here or pm me?

It would be appreciated so...thank you in advance. (Aren't I just the presumptuous one.) rolleyes.gif

There is no URL to my solid perfume site as I havn't made it public because there already is Lisa's database.

Hope this helps, Brigitte

I think it's because you think of the pronunciation in English instead of French, hence the 'd' you added. Just a thought. cool.gif

Bigitte - I am so impressed with your knowledge! I've heard that your solid collection is huge. I really enjoyed seeing and learning about the different beach pails. Now I need to be on the lookout...of course all of us are probably thinking the same thing!!
