Well as you can see we have added Google ads to the forums. We tried to keep it to the front page and database section, but so far this month that has only earned $5.27. ohmy.gif

In addition to the ads, we have added a "Donate" button through PayPal for those who are interested in supporting the site that way. It is under the "Contact & Donations" tab at the top of each page. Donations will be used for monthly hosting fees, as well as software upgrades for this site.

Thanks!

Hi Jack, I just found the donation button by accident and then looked at this post. The isn't a tab that says contact and donation. It is under the email tab. The addition of a donation counter would be nice so we can see if donations are coming in (anonymous of course)

The email tab was replaced with a new one that says contact & donations. Your browser might just need a refresh to see the new tab.

We have to say, THANKS!!! to everyone who has made a donation to the site! It really is amazing to see people put up actual dollars to help keep this place afloat. It's great and we promise it will be well used.

We already have just about enough to get the updated forum scripts. We may wait just a bit to make sure we cover hosting fees before we go and do that though. A tally might not be a bad idea, as well as maybe a list of things people would like to see here.

Since this will be your money and your site - what are the most important features you would like to see added/fixed/improved? Let's hear your ideas and I'll get to work on figuring out how to get them done and what it will cost. My work is free of course but a lot of these things need scripts and software that costs various amounts. Then, maybe we can get a goal to work toward each thing.

Thanks for adding the donation button (I sent one tonight) and for updating the photos!

Looking at your list of what you still need (photos), I'm working on a couple of older ones...

Excellent, thank you for both!

The photos are coming along great. If everyone keeps them coming, we'll have a complete photo database in no time at all! biggrin.gif
