Did anyone buy the new Tubrose solids??
There are ten of them and EL went back and copied some vintage ones , changed the names and finish and filled them with Tubrose Gardenia.
Example-Golden Paisley was originally the sunshine necklace.
List of ten--Paisley,counch,acorn (the white one),seahorse( bigger and different color),starfish( different stones)vintage(jewelers treasure),bird, sea urchin, signature(Empire)shell((golden seas).
The whole is called Private Collection and all are filled with Tubrose Gardenia.
I only bought 6 out of ten. The bird is my favorite.
Anyone want more info my email is--clarkannm@bellsouth.net

I've hesrd from Donna that they will be issued,

Thanks for your kind help and take care,

On Monday morning this week Aerin Lauder opened the boutique at Bergdorf Goodman and I bought the sparrow and seahorse solid perfume compact . The sparrow is pretty big (about 2.5in. or 6cm long and close to 2in.or 5cm high) and cost $150.00, the seahorse is priced at $100.00. The boxes are also different in color shiny gold and light to middle blue. Even the labels are gold and blue. Most solids are between $125.00 and $200.00.

Why are Estee Lauder copying the old designs? It seems very strange to me
that the older ones which I have in my cabinet are now being repeated, albeit
with slight variations!
We have two Harrods Palaces. One with the baguettes and plynth, and the second model, a cheaper version (same price) without the plynth. The first
version, IMHO, far superior to the second release! May I add also for the new collectors,
make sure the plynth is included if you are purchasing the first Palace.
Now there is a copy of the Jeweller's Treasure which was released in 1974......albeit colouring is different.
The Sparrow reminds me of one which I see often under another name (which escapes me for the moment)..........
etc. etc.
I dread the thought that the Imperial Princess, etc. etc. etc. will be brought back from the ashes too!
Apologies for the note of dissent.........but.........??

Ann and Ken.......Thanks for posting the pictures of the new T.R.G. solids, I love the look of the sea anemone....is it as spikey as it looks....

Hi Jacky......I think the same as you, the older version of the Harrods Palace is the best and to my mind it was the best solid that E.L. ever produced.....
