Thank you Brigitte for posting the Niemans brochure. I was surprised to see the Tennis Racket there already as we were told that there was a limited number of them available only at the Las Vegas and New York Estee boutiques. The decision to put them out to all the stores was going to be made later.

I have to say that I don't find the Sparkling Jewel and Texas Rose powder compacts to be very art deco blink.gif
Also, I am very surprised by the high prices for the powder compacts, are they really that exclusive and luxurious compared to previous years as to motivate those prices? What do you think?

Hi Karin. I didn't get to see the powders as I left early. I am thinking that the Sparkling Jewel and the Yellow Rose may be prettier in person. Will let you know what I think when I can see them. And yes, pricing seems to be up a bit.

I received a call from a Niemans that I deal with that the Tennis Rackets are in.

I SAW THE NEW POWDERS AT THE CONVENTION AND THEY WERE A BIG DISAPPOINTMENT...... ohmy.gif TO MY MIND THE YELLOW ROSE IS FAR TO ACID YELLOW. THE SPARKLING JEWEL IS VERY PRETTY BUT NOT FOR ME.

Saks called to tell me they have some of the new solids. Does anyone know who will have the gramophone?

I just received two of the EL solids from Saks. The Jeweled Ornament is lovely! I think it looks even better in person than it did in the brochure. I also received the Pretty Paisley. There was something very weird about it. When you open up the solid the perume is not in the base??? The solid perfume is located in the lid (where the tassel is attached). The base has the Estee Lauder name upside down. I called Saks and they said the other Pretty Paisley solids were made the same way. Did anyone else purchase this solid? Did yours have the solid perume in the lid instead of the base???

The Neimans at North Park has the Grama Phone.

Ask for Chieko, she was very helpful. smile.gif

I like the Sparkling Jewel compact, but did not care for the others.

Don't all of the stores get the same thing, except for Harrods & Las Vegas?

How do you purchase from Harrods? I've tried over the internet but they won't ship it.

Mary,
Thanks for the info on the gramophone. You can purchase from Harrods by phone. Send an email to their perfumery for the information and then call to place your order. Several years ago I placed an order by email, maybe their policies have changed.
There are a few stores that have exclusives. Harrods, Saks (usually Jay Strongwaters) and Neiman Marcus. I don't know if there are still any others. Nordstrom misbehaved so they don't get exclusives any more. blink.gif
