One is of Lucy the Elephant in Margate, NJ. She's a building built to look like an elephant and was a lot of fun to climb up into.
The other is our table at the Saturday night dinner in A/C. We all had fun!

Wow Katita!! Thanks for all the info! I can't wait to see what all the solids look like. I need to start saving money now. It sounds like you had a wonderful time.
Sincerely, Joni

350 pounds for a Palace which has already been done is a slap in the face. I'd guess that EL produces what Harrods wants but someone is taking advantage of the collectors. I personally would like to see them sit on the shelf and have them sent to the English company stores.

HI ALL
Sorry to be checking in so late but knew faithfuls Woody and Katita would be clueing you in on the events. It was so good to be with them and share a lot of laughs. We kept each other amused by buying and selling amongst ourselves!
It was not possible to get pictures of the new solids. There was only one long table with the display of solids and powders. So it was sort of elbow to elbow trying to examine them and lighting was rather poor. Not like the bright lights and displays at the Estee showroom at LV. Those who like the smaller solid compacts will be pleased this year as that seems to be the trend. Perhaps that is why they are a little less pricey. Only the Strongwaters looked to be about the same size as previously. I did especially like the Eiffel Tower, Colisium, Clock Tower (Big Ben) and the World Traveler (suitcase). I think all of us had a difficult time repressing a groan when it was announced that the Palace was being revised and re-issued!
It was good to get home to warm weather. Temp dropped to 43 one night in AC and was very windy most of the days. No heat in our hotel room so a couple of Floridians had trouble staying comfortable. Enjoyed the Boardwalk and the Casinos. Most of all it was great to be with the other 2 from this site. Also to see Al and Roselyn who are always so upbeat and pleasant, managing somehow every year to bring collectors together.
Oh yes! I too loved the red dice and brought them home.

to see the site bursting with life once more and to read all the interesting
news!
Would love to see a picture of the Dice! Feel strange ordering something
I have yet to see.
Meanwhile when Vegas Lady returns, she is going to groan! Expect the
dice are blingy???????
Where are you both in the picture?
I agree with you Katita about combining the Conventions....but I have no idea
of the inner workings of these events in the States.
Really looking forward to seeing the pictures soon! And once again, thanks!
With regard to the Harrods Palace, am relieved to hear that I am not a lone
voice in the wilderness......

Would like to take this opportunity to say ''GET WELL CHARLOTTE''. Her
fractured right wrist is taking a long time to heal so it is very difficult for
her to write......

One of the shots is with my 4 year old Chocolate Lab, Bruiser, he's hoping for some luck.
Hope this helps you

Is the red as dark as the photos or brighter?
