No worries Margaret . . . . would you like Kangaroos IN your packed lunch? I have just seen Kangaroo meat in the local Woolworths supermarket, so now it's official that it is legal to eat it in NSW too!

Whenever you're this way, let me know . . . . so I can hide my 'hard to get' solids from you!

Make sure you bring your cossies too - the beaches here are FABULOUS !

What's a "cossie" Sandra?

Oh sorry - a translation needed for the Texans

Cossie (pronounced cozzy) = swimming costume (swimming trunks, bathers, eg. bikini or other). Whatever you wear to the beach to swim in.

It also rhymes with Aussie (pronounced Ozzy) and as you know, we are a rhyming nation with our slang eg. telephone = 'dog and bone' or 'Al Capone'. You may hear these types of things when you are over here. Usually though, we only use these saying when speaking to a friend, not a foreigner.

Seriously now . . . . how does one go about planning these things?  If we Aussies were to get together to have our own 'convention', Ken, Ann, Liliane anybody - what is the process?  It's a fair hike just to have lunch together !

Well gee Sandra, I'm in Sydney too...but of course I'm a Canadian, so maybe getting together wouldn't be "Aussie" enough And you'd have trouble with my funny accent too!

Just don't ask me to eat Skippy....(which for the North Americans reading this, is not peanut butter...Skippy is a kangaroo, the Aussie take on flipper and lassie

Hello Kia, some of us belong to the IPBA. The U.K. Chapter is a separate membership but they combined both this year which made it easier.

There is still time for those undecided about the Convention...
