Wow, the Americans are dropping like flies- not the ideal surface for most of them.

I am going to predict Kim Clijsters and Nadal. wink.gif

You can bet we will be watching from today on! We are huge tennis fans and will have to catch up on the Americans.

Whew,

You weren't kidding Lisa. I looked up the results of the early rounds and OUCH. blink.gif

The Americans just disappeared. Darn. mad.gif

Do you think Agassi is done? I do. sad.gif

Safin is always dangerous.

Haven't have time to watch one single match until now but have heard that "ours" are still in...

Yup, Roger is still there as expected, he is so fantastic as all of them are.

I'm going for the lefties being Jack and I are both left handed. Maybe the finals will be Nadal and Puerta- both lefties, that would be interesting!

No lefties on the womens side so I am going to root for Justine! smile.gif

Lisa

I had the chance to watch the match Davenport vs Pierce yesterday and could hardly believe to see such a tough Mary Pierce. I haven't seen her playing for a long time and now she roses like phoenix from the ashes! I even credit her with the winning of the French Open (like in 2000).

I'm looking forward to watch Federer vs Nadal. I reckon Nadal could win because Federer is not a sand-court specialist, but I still hope he'll do it! smile.gif

Lisa - you and Jack are both 'lefties'? That's interesting . . . . haven't met a lefty in a while . . . I thought they were rare and then there you go - two at once!

Lisa you were right, the lefty had won, but it was a great match! So I'll enjoy the final much more relaxed on Sunday smile.gif

Who watched today?

I was sad to see Roger lose but WOW ohmy.gif Nadal was unbelieveable! What a way to celebrate his 19th birthday.

Looks like the two lefties will battle, wonder when the last time the final was two left handed men?

For the women it will be Pierce and Justine.
Go Justine, go Nadal!

I watched while Margaret worked. ohmy.gif

I love Roger but it is nice to see someone finally give him some real competition. biggrin.gif

Nadal was amazing today and he'll win it all unless something really goes wrong. Is he as good on other surfaces? hmmmm.

We seriously need some new American talent coming up for the next few years. mad.gif

Have you seen any good American men (or women) coming up at all the tournaments you go to Lisa? If so, who are they? ph34r.gif

Justine will win also, the Swami says. cool.gif (not a real tough prediction) She's a killer.

I watched the match this afternoon and it was over as quickly as it began. Mary Pierce was not on form. Am looking forward to the final of the mens tomorrow afternoon! Do hope it is a gripping one!

Congrats to Justine, hopefully she will remain in good health for the rest of the year.

Let the battle of the lefties begin! Is will be the first all-left-handed French Open final since 1946. 59 years, how great is that? smile.gif

Am glad Justine is back and Nadal has been poaching for a title for a while - I always knew he'd break through someday - he has always been tough for Lleyton to beat.

Can't believe he beat Federer on the way to the title though!! Good on him!!

Anyway - roll on Wimbledon - at least we might get some footage over here!! cool.gif

[/I]Well the match was not shown here on the normal channel either! They showed highlights later i.e. the last couple of games. It was fantastic! We both missed an incredible final!!!! sad.gif

Roll on Wimbledon!
