Tom Ford has joined Estee Lauder as their new Creative Director to revamp EL's image. Do you think he will have any impact on the design of the solids?

Thanks for the link Martha. Waiting to hear what you all have to say.
Wondering how this will affect the solid perfume side.

Should make interesting reading! smile.gif

Tom Ford of GUCCI! Now we're talking.

Maybe we will be getting some EL logo boxes for all the products.

Sounds like they may have found a talented individualist with a good head on his shoulders!
Perhaps the glitz will come back to the solids afterall, very interesting article.
Thanks Martha C for the link.

Tom Ford said: "Historically, [Gucci] is Sophia Loren. Yves Saint Laurent is Catherine Deneuve. They're both sexy," he told British Vogue in February 2001. "It's just that Gucci is a little more obvious than Saint Laurent. The YSL woman might tie her boyfriend up and drip hot wax on him before they have sex, for instance. The Gucci woman is just going to have sex."

Any guesses what he will say about EL solid perfume collectors? ph34r.gif

Ar, maybe he'd think we'd melt our solid perfume and drip it on our partners. How wrong he would be. My collection is not to be messed with!! blink.gif

I thought for sure Michele would have had a reply for this. Is she OK? I have just realised she hasn't posted for a while.
No wonder things have been a wee bit quiet! laugh.gif laugh.gif

Along with Nancy and Sandra, I too have been wondering about Michele. As I remember she did post in January and yes Michele you have been missed.
So Michele, hope you are OK. Do post to let us know you are still here and are with us.

I apologize posting this here as it is off the Mr. Ford topic, but my opinion is that the members here who do post on a regular basis, you all are good people and its been proven more than once we do care about each other.

Nancy, Lisa, et. al:
We should develop our own description and send it to Tom Ford!
Here's another idea - a new line of sexy solids modeled after Michelangelo's David -- Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise, etc.
