Hi everyone,

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Here is my first post question:
There is a different Grand Piano on ebay,

http://cgi.ebay.com/...5557055781&rd=1

It comes with a golden box, no bench.
Totally different from what I've seen in the past. Is it a special version? Worth to get it? TIA
Nina

Hmmmmm..... well, I cannot say for sure but that doesn't look like the box for the Grand Piano. It doesn't even look like the boxes the Las Vegas store was using for solids (plain gold box)

The box to me is nothing like I have seen before.

I am sure that the bench for this solid is missing.

What does anyone else think??

Well, I believe I would stay away from this solid, if you wanted a Real "Grand Piano" as when I emailed the person selling this particular solid they told me there was no bench!!!
"Buyer Beware!" as the saying goes.

Nina,
I have the gold piano and bench which I bought at Nordstroms, however it came
in a gold ROUND box. I don't think EL made a piano without a bench.
Hope that helps.

No stool with the piano . . . . so the box is probably not the right one as there would be a little space for the stool . . . .

Perfume appears to be there, however. Like Queenie says "buyer beware!!" This one sounds dodgy.

I wouldn't buy a piano without a stool either!! sad.gif

Thanks for the replies!
Mine is in a white square box with a bench.

But, another question comes up-----------
Is the gold round box the Las Vegas exclusive, or the US domestic exclusive?
The white square one is the international version?

Nina,
I don't think the round box was an exclusive to Las Vegas. I bought mine
at Nordstrom's in Seattle.

I wouldn't buy it unless I needed a bench-less piano. I'd like to buy a complete MIB one eventually.

I learned the hard way from ebay: if the seller doesn't show a picture or mention what you need to know, then the auction doesn't include it. Good examples are boxes. I bought "mint" solids thinking the box came with it, but didn't.

Thanks again for the replies and advices! biggrin.gif

I'm also new on ebay, and learned some lessons from it already, but keep plunging into it with more carefulness just for the great items and good prices--------------an incurable addiction to the EL solid perfumes wub.gif

Thanks, Mimi. smile.gif

The auction ended at $81.88, there were 13 bids for it.
High price for an incomplete item ohmy.gif

Anyone see the grand piano on ebay with the missing keys?? If not please have a look at it, the seller taped a piece of white paper with keys drawn on it. It's worth a good laugh or cry because it is the saddest auction I have ever seen. rolleyes.gif

Well, Lisa! Perhaps "Bubbyhead" laugh.gif tongue.gif or excuse me "Bubbylady" doesn't know what a real keyboard looks like. After all she stated and I quote "I am not an expert." blink.gif
Sold as is with paper keyboard and all sounds like a deal too me, if you can find a paper piano bench. Ha! Ha! laugh.gif

Hi Everyone,
Just wanted to update on the latest from the "Grand Piano" without normal keyboard. I emailed the lady yesterday evening. Her reply to me was the keyboard is a stencil and it is how she received it.
