Hi Lisa, Maggie is right, Harrods now have a monopoly on solids here in the UK which is not good for collectors.

Isetan and Takashimaya are Japanese department stores.
So surprised to hear that they sell different solids!

Robinsons-May and Macy's in Southern California, Dillard's and Foley's in the southwest and a small dress shop in my town sells EL solids and compacts.
Looks like Japan has the most stores

I know also of at least 3 different stores in Zurich where they sell solids:
but Brigitte would know better.

Also we've only had them 1 year later than the USA, but since about 2 or 3 years we get them in the same year they were issued.
As far as I get difference prices I always make a price comparions list, here is the link:
2004 PRICE COMPARISONS SOLID PERFUMES
2004 PRICE COMPARISONS POWDER COMPACTS
Of course it always also depends on the actual exchange rate.

That's a great comparison chart and very startling to see the price variations in different counties.

We got a lot of the Lieber's and Strongwater's last year and the Erte's but only a few of the others.

I can only say yes I have purchased plenty of solids from Robinsons-May and Macy's. Also Nordstroms, Neimens & Saks. I got an EL solid from Macys for Christmas.
