[COLOR=blue]This is a great thank you to Martha, I have my solid and am over the moon with it. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

It will have a special place in my heart because of our wedding there (sorry, no Elvis).
wink.gif
The opening of the package had to be postponed until the evening as word had gotten around that I had received something from the USA. So eleven of us were at the table in our neighbours house to watch the grear unwrapping. I can't tell you how much the tension was increased by the quality of the wrapping and the number of layers I had to remove!!!! laugh.gif

The opening of the bag was accompanied by an audible intake of breath as the solid was finally revealed. ohmy.gif

After being passed from one to the other the decision was final - SUPERB!!!!

Again thanks for all the offers, I am so glad I found the site and so many kind people.

Love

Caroline

laugh.gif Caroline - what a lovely story!! Glad you had 11 people to share 'the opening' of the box with you and to enjoy in your delight with the solid.

Good on ya!! (As they say over here!) wink.gif

(And Well Done to Martha for the suspense with the layers of beautiful wrapping!) laugh.gif

Hi Everyone:

Just returned from a Vegas trip. Stopped by the EL store and just couldn't help but notice how low their stock on perfume solids and compacts was. Lots of barns, flower carts and LV signs, of course the general distribution ones for this year and a few others from last year, I think. They also had the 2 powder compacts for this year as well. WOW...they must really sell out of stuff when they have events.

I also had a chance to drive by the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign. The EL replica is excellent! About the plain base..well...the original sign sits on gravel. So, I guess not much there to design...unless they wanted the gravel look.

On another note...chanced upon a small exhibit that had the car that Bonnie and Clyde died in. Also on display was Clyde's shirt wih bullet holes (yupppers the one he died in)....EERIE! ph34r.gif

And...yuppers...lost my Hiney in Vegas. rolleyes.gif

Sounds like you had a great time 2cute4u2, I always liked the movie" Bonnie and Clyde" but don't think I could stomach the bullet hole shirt, I have a weak stomach. ohmy.gif
P.S. 2cute4u2 did you happen to notice if they had any Four-Leaf Clover solids
at the E. L. store; Thanks for sharing your good time with us!

FYI...I remembered that the EL Vegas store had the new Jay Strongwater and Judith Leiber solids and also the Lighthouse. I do remember the horseshoe and ladybug...not sure about the 4-leaf clover.

For any of you going to the Vegas Convention, don't forget, there is a "Prime Outlet" mall north of the Strip. (a $10. cab ride from the Boardwalk Hotel). The Company Cosmetic Store (Estee) has many discounted solids, and powders. ohmy.gif
and lots of bags with assorted makeup at good prices......

Well, my Vegas sign has made it home and I am thrilled with it. It looks fantastic nestled in my "Vegas collection" - can't wait for the next one!
Surely your Lucky Dice will be show up some time soon, Lisa! cool.gif Hope so 'cos I reckon they would fit in rather nicely!

I would love to visit Las Vegas and see the sign for real and all the other exciting things on offer. But for now I am content with my sign until my luck comes in!

My Vegas Sign is up and running too! I really think it is rather nice. From previous comments I thought it would not come up to expectations, but now I am pleased I have it!

The same thing happened with the Pagoda! That one has exceeded expectations!
