How about a Musical theme:

a Note
Treble clef
bass cleff
record
record player (a victrolla would work)
Instruments - brass, woodwinds, flutes, drum set etc.
sheet music
conductor

or a new sports line

Golf Ball
soccer ball
sport whistle
pommel horse
basketball
a pink baseball bat
a football or baseball feild

Women in History

Susan B Anthony (even though she was not a handsome woman)
Betsy Ross
Madame Currie
Mothee Theresa
The Virgin Mary
Margaret Thatcher (another not so hansome woman)
Golda Mier
Princess Diana
Queen Elizabeth (would make a great Harrod's exclusive on her anniversary or in her memory (God save the Queen & keep her healthy!)

And my final one
Sex synbol men

Cary Grant
Burt Reynolds
Tom Cruise
Fabio
(insert your fantasy here_______)

LOL

I like it, these would be great as Harrods exclusives!

smile.gif It's me The other Martha cool.gif . With Lisas help I was able to log on again. THANK YOU, LISA. Yes, it been that long, so I forgot how. All of your ideas for new solids are wonderful and I would love to purchase them (without the magnetic clasp). Here are some solids I would like for Estee Lauder to consider. I know EL makes the pink ribbon and powder for Breast Cancer. Is there a solid perfume? How about a HOUSE with proceeds to help the homeless Or a food platter to help the hungry this list could go on and on. Estee Lauders company and WE collectors could help make a difference and love doing it. rolleyes.gif

GOOD IDEA MARTHA, A SOLID PERFUME TO GO ALONG WITH ALL THE PINK RIBBON POWDERS WOULD BE GREAT.

Hi Martha,
It's good to have you back posting again. I can tell by your comments what a kind heart you have. I just don't think EL would give the poor or hungry any of their profits (no matter how small), especially when they sell the solids that have been trashed. Maybe that's a good idea to use those profits for the less fortunate. I just don't think they're into to that. Maybe I'm wrong, hope so.

Hi Martha, missed you!

I though of a really cute idea for a solid, a Hula dancer with a real grass skirt to go with the pina colada pina solid (the coconut shell drink with umbrella, straw, cherry orange garnish and swizzle stick)

I love your idea about "World's Most Famous Monuments/Landmarks".

Great idea for the Hula dancer and the National Monuments. I would love to see those in solids. It seems like every time this subject is brought up the solids we discuss turn up sooner or later. I can't wait to see....................... biggrin.gif

Hi KK

I like your idea of the National Monuments, sounds good. biggrin.gif
I always wanted to see "Old Faithful" in Yellowstone Park
or "Mount Rushmore." rolleyes.gif
I did visit the "Jefferson Memorial" in Washington D.C.
and it was spectacluar.
I can't imagine a hula dancer unless she looked like the
"Las Vegas Showgirl", but "Diamond Head" now that would be nice.
How about a electric guitar for all of us old rock and rollers,
now that seems like a goody! biggrin.gif
Well I guess that enough of my two cents, must get back to work
before Jerry fires
me! ohmy.gif

Yup, I like it, I think your on to something Caroline! How about if each year one piece of the strip came out and they would all click together like a puzzle.
OK, maybe not but it's fun exploring new ideas.  tongue.gif

Ooops don't know exactly what happened there, was going to add reply, and
changed my mind. Anyway, just want to say you are all brilliant in your ideas for solids. I just hope that Estee can pick up on them. I spoke to a couple of Estee reps in Vegas... I suggested the Opera House**, and kangaroo....but was led to believe that 'Estee Co.' needs permission from the City etc. to proceed with manufacturing** them.... also, there is the cost of such.
