Hi Seekers of the Carrousel:

Check out the rubylane site. I saw 2 carrousels for sale on that site a few months ago. I was very lucky and chanced upon one MIB from one of the ruby lane sellers. I also bought my dragon from the same seller.

I think I paid like $850 for mine. The seller also works with the buyer in doing layway.

Good luck!

Thanks Barb - have marked it and have my eye on it. Will see if it surpasses my budget by auction end. I'm sure I will be out bidded by everyone else (as per usual)!!

However, keep your fingers crossed for me and hope that I get the same bargain you did!

Well you can uncross them now! I have given up hope already - it's 3 days to go and already it's well over $1000.00. I think this Zelda person really wants it. They've only bid about 20 times.

Maybe the price will flush out some more in the next few weeks! That always happens. Fingers crossed for that!! tongue.gif

Sandra, you're right about the high price "flushing out" other Carousels. There is another one now for sale on ebay. Good Luck! biggrin.gif

Good Morning, All! smile.gif

I have worked with Zelda in the past and she has some "issues" she's dealing with. Also, she is now "not a registered user" on eBay, which comes as no surprise. Unfortunately, she bid the Carousel up herself so no one really had a chance at it.

My question is....How many Carousels did E.L. produce? If most collectors balked at buying them for $250 (apparently the highest amount at that time), and said collectors did not buy them, where are the unsold Carousels? Is EL going to release them sometime in the future? (The NEAR future.)

Just a thought that's been wandering around my little brain for months....hope someone out there has an answer or at least an explanation. Estee Lauder Corp....if you're out there, can you answer this question? blink.gif

Good point, Michele - similar facts were mentioned a while ago if my memory serves me correctly, and KK mentioned that she saw a pile of them in some CC store somewhere . . . . (as a hurry of footsteps is heard as people go and try to find them) . . . . so I've also wondered the same things as you for a while and would like to know if anyone else is going to share that information.

Great job to Sandra and the seller of the carousel. It is truly a lovely piece!

OK..now..I'll put in a plea. My dream piece is the snowman. So..if there is anyone who could part with one....please..please let me know.

There is a 1999 sparkling snowman for sale on Ebay. It comes with the gold and white box. The price is currently at $165.00. I am not the seller and I don't know the seller. The seller has 99.1% positive feedback. The item # is 2282704243.

Hope this makes your wish come true!

Well there you go - see how you go with that one!! wink.gif

See - on this site, just ask and you shall receive!! I'm SURE you'll get one, this one is much easier than the carousel!

PS I have one for you if you don't get one.
