Glad to hear some are okay, my Aunt and Uncle who live in Boyton Beach are okay too, even though their electric comes and goes.
Here is a link to cheer everyone up:

Just wanted to let everyone know we came through Frances just fine (thank goodness)
We lost our electricity Saturday at around 2:00pm and just got it back today about an hour ago.
We lost the top of one of our palms in the backyard, one up rooted shrub by our garage and lots of broken palm fronds on our Bismark palm in the front of the house (we were worried about this tree as it is so big and beautiful) Our pool is so full of debris it is now green.
Just finished throwing the entire contents of my refridgerator and freezer out in the trash.
One of our dogs was so stresed that he is still sick with diarrhea.
It was on overall scary experience especially Saturday at 2:00am when the storm was at its worst. The hurricane was a catagory 2 so I cannot imagine anything greater, but we are now watching Ivan who is on path for Florida, Ivan is already a catagory 3!
Thanks again for everyone wishing all of us in Florida well.
Back to cleaning and getting back to normal.

WELCOME BACK TO THE WONDERFUL WORLD OF ELECTRICITY
HAVE CHECKED FREQUENTLY FOR YOUR POST TO BE SURE YOU WERE OKAY.
GREAT TO KNOW YOU LOST ONLY LANDSCAPING AND NOT A ROOF OR SOMETHING EQUALLY SERIOUS. BIG CHORE CLEANING UP THE MESS, DON'T OVER DO.

8 people died from this hurricane and the total damage was $900 Million.
Many of my friends lost their Electric for 4 weeks, I was one of the luckier ones as we only lost our electric less than 1 week.
Now we have to watch Ivan, which does not look good, I hope it turns and goes out to the Atlantic.
To our friends in Florida, please stay safe and sound.
Lisa, I feel bad for your dog, one of my Dogs is very sick with Kidney Malfunction and I am praying for him.

Phyllis - So glad to see you ok and back on board! Keep posting so we know you're still with us!
Has anyone heard from Ron yet?
Your photo's really captured nature at it's strongest...very frightening subject.
As far as the next hurricane, lets just get through one at a time and cross that bridge when we get to it, provided said bridge hasn't washed out!

My family in Jupiter managed very well. In fact, they spent most of their time in Orlando and just returned home yesterday to assess the damage which was minimal. Most are still without power & phone service in the area and schools are closed today. And they are having difficulty making cell phone calls.
And Jacky, thanks for your concern. From what I understand the hurricane made landfall just above Jupiter.
Thank goodness all of you in South Florida are OK.
